We almost never get snow in Alabama, and it certainly didn't resemble the pictures friends in Washington and Canada share, but it WAS snow.

These flakes were HUGE -- almost the size of quarters. The boys and I were hiking in the Noccalula Falls gorge when it started. By the time we climbed out and made it home, the flakes were beginning to stick. My boys were hilarious -- making snowballs, catching flakes on their tongues, and even riding their scooters.

It was breathtaking. It was beautiful. What a blessing!
